Hello.

Sorry, me again...  :)

Be carefully with this idea... you have not permission to share...
And...

1.1
Dump whole eMMC is not really problem... TM1 is rooted...

Problem is, all Pics, Apps, Settings, Passwords etc. = private stuff you copy and share.  ;D  ;)

To share Dump in public is not good idea. To prevent trouble...

Remember... this Community is supported by Samsung.  ;)

Anyway.

Dump eMMC is not magic... you need USB cable + SDB + SD card with 8 GB free

Code: [Select]
sdb root on
sdb shell
dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/fulldump.bin

TM1 copy 7,.. GB to SD card, this takes "few minutes"...

If you compress this dump with ZIP... then around 350 MB ZIP possible...

Result is Backup/Dump...  ;)

Please be carefully!
Not write back... this could be dangerous for device...
If you damage uboot Bootloader or other mistake happens you brick your TM1.

No idea if sboot allow any kind of recover from external SD...

Only for study... educational purposes...

Best Regards

With SDB you can check partition stuff...
Code: [Select]
cat /proc/partitions
For TM1 with July Firmware... result looks like this:
Code: [Select]
179        0  7634944 mmcblk0
 179        1     1024 mmcblk0p1
 179        2     1024 mmcblk0p2
 179        3     1024 mmcblk0p3
 179        4     1024 mmcblk0p4
 179        5     1024 mmcblk0p5
 179        6     1024 mmcblk0p6
 179        7     1024 mmcblk0p7
 179        8     1024 mmcblk0p8
 179        9     8192 mmcblk0p9
 179       10     9216 mmcblk0p10
 179       11     2048 mmcblk0p11
 179       12     2048 mmcblk0p12
 179       13     2048 mmcblk0p13
 179       14     8192 mmcblk0p14
 179       15     8192 mmcblk0p15
 179       16     8192 mmcblk0p16
 179       17     8192 mmcblk0p17
 179       18     8192 mmcblk0p18
 179       19    12288 mmcblk0p19
 179       20     8192 mmcblk0p20
 179       21     4096 mmcblk0p21
 179       22     2048 mmcblk0p22
 179       23    32768 mmcblk0p23
 179       24   131072 mmcblk0p24
 179       25  6283264 mmcblk0p25
 179       26  1081344 mmcblk0p26
 179       96      512 mmcblk0rpmb
 179       64     4096 mmcblk0boot1
 179       32     4096 mmcblk0boot0

You can see 26 partitions and their sizes...

With Tools and/or brain you could extract all necessary files for create valid TAR file for lthor...

I was to lazy to prepare all files...
But started with uboot, Kernel...

Also possible to dd... few partitions...

But again... it is dangerous... risk to brick device...

I have no TM1 to try my theory self...  ;D  :-[

TM1 Firmware package... TAR file contains 6 files:
Code: [Select]
u-boot-mmc.bin ---> second Bootloader (Uboot)

dzImage-----------> Kernel 1
dzImage-recovery--> 1:1 same Kernel like 1

rootfs.img
user.img
system-data.img

From dump 3 of 6 files are easily to restore 1:1...

I have no idea why dzImage and dzImage-recovery are 1:1 same content...
So no Recovery Kernel...

No idea if Uboot support via Key combination to start 2 different Kernels...

Left 3 files...
Code: [Select]
rootfs.img
user.img
system-data.img

Here I need some time to check which partitions...
First hint are filesizes...
Code: [Select]
179       24   131072 mmcblk0p24
 179       25  6283264 mmcblk0p25
 179       26  1081344 mmcblk0p26

mmcblk0p24 = 128 MB = system-data.img
mmcblk0p25 = 6000 MB (6 GB) = user.img
mmcblk0p26 = 1000 MB (1 GB) =rootfs.img

For me as Windows user it is much harder to resize 1 GB or 6 GB Image to fit lthor specs... and to be still valid.  :-[
...but here could dd Command work...

So theory summary:
TAR could be created for THOR action with 4 files without big modification:
Code: [Select]
u-boot-mmc.bin
dzImage
dzImage-recovery
system-data.img

And with dd Command + SDB write back:
Code: [Select]
rootfs.img
user.img

Hmm, maybe dumped rootfs.img fits also into valid TAR...

No idea yet...
Hmmmmm... for now only theory.
Maybe few slight mods mandatory.  ;D

PIT depend on Uboot Version...
For Tizen 3 ... Wayland we saw first 1800 MB Images...  :o
Flashing failed to TM1...

Please.

Can somebody with TM1 share experiences with TM1.

Is TM1 good running...
Any problems?

Or is TM1 obsolete and better use Z3 for Development?

Any comments are welcome.

If you want check also here:
