Option to vary the intensity of torch light

It would be nice if the user is provided with an option to decrease or increase the intensity of mobile torch light. It would be helpful specially during long power cuts in the night to retain the battery charge little longer.

Looks like a cool feature to have. But would it affect the overall life of the light in anyway.

Why anyone would use mobile torch light during long power cuts? Usually everyone use mobile torch light to find candle/torch light/charging light during power cut (as mobile is handy).  My opinion is this may not be real time user scenario.

Let us discuss if any other good user scenario which mandates this use case.

Totally agree. But lets say that the user is caught up in some unfortunate incident and that tiny flash is the only source of light available, then?
Nothing wrong in having it for option which would prove resourceful. What do you guys think?

I second @sreevani's suggestion.

During longer power cuts also, I use the mobile torch. I don't use candles.

Couple of times I faced the problem like I had to walk back to my house during night. I had about 50% of the battery left and then there was this long unscheduled power cut. I had to use my mobile torch which is quite handy. that time I wished if only I could change the intensity of the torch so that I could reach home safely and also retain some battery in case of emergency calls!!
I am sure few others would also have faced such problems if not all!!
