Quick/Direct Call hanging

Hi,

I have got  Z3 Gold edition, facing issues with option like:

1) Whenever we call from contacts/dialer/log history device hangs and needs to be restarted.
2) Alarm icon is displayed whenever the alarm widget is added in home screen(without enabling alarm).

@Subramanian M, please let us know the SW version on your device(by pressing the key sequence *#1234#).

Problem 1 mentioned by you is a basic scenario and works well.  May be devs would need logs from your device to check further.  Procedure to dump logs is available here: https://samsung.tizenforum.com/?topic=510.0

Dear Subramanian,

Regarding Issue#2 : Alarm icon is displayed whenever the alarm widget is added in home screen(without enabling alarm).

I tried following steps in my Z3. Related screenshot attached. Are you observing different behavior? Pls post your screenshot for better understanding. Pls double check your SW version as Keyan suggested. These problems can occur if your SW version is not the right one.

Steps: Pre condition is No alarm set in Z3 / SW version is OK1 -> Try Add Alarm widget -> Alarm widget got added. Attached screenshot

I also observe the same issue -
"Whenever we call from contacts/dialer/log history device hangs".

At that time smart manager shows  RAM usage of 88% and when I press the clear tab then RAM usage reduce to around 45%. Post executing above steps I am able to make calls.

I think that some unwanted apps are running in background... my question why these apps keeps running in background .



For eg .. now in my Z3 mobile RAM usage is 88% and below apps are running
1) Smart switch Mobile
2) Weather
3) Memo
4) Google Search
5) Setting
6) Gallery
7) My Galaxy
8) Contacts
9) Whatsapp
10) Internet
11) Message

My question is why these apps are running in background.. when i close the app then why it keeps running. ??


My Z3 version is -

@Prerit  you need to update  to one of the latest  binary version. Drop a mail to admin@tizenforum.com to get this sorted out.
