Mobile data is getting disabled automatically after new update in Z3.

Mobile data is getting disabled automatically after new software update Z300HDDU0BOL4 in my Z3.
Every time i turn on the data, it is showing the pop saying mobile data is disabled.

I did not keep any data usage settings. All are set to NONE.
But if i change the data usage settings it will enable the mobile data for a while. And after some time it shows the pop again saying mobile data is disabled.

It looks very bad after software update, please check it soon.

You tried to remove SIM card and use the other Slot?

If you have 2 SIM cards...
Then please try the other...

I have two SIM cards, But i have disabled the other SIM card. I am not using it.
I don't have data plan on other SIM card.

And i just removed memory card and inserted back one time. I am not sure will it causing this kind of problem.

Please let me know any other alternative to fix this issue.

And some times i could see both the "data icon" working as well as the "mobile data disabled pop up".

If 1 SIM is disabled and not used...

To remove and insert SIM card(s) should be the easiest way to check.

test 1
slot 1

test 2
slot 2

With only 1 SIM card.

Alternate ways...
Factory Reset

But this delete/erase all your private files/pics, mails etc...

If not solved...
Check settings in SIM card manager...
Here example from my Z1...

I have also airtel SIM inside... in SLOT 1...

I have tried both Test 1 and Test 2. Both trails does not solve problem.
Still mobile data disabled pop up appears.
And also i have cross checked SIM card manager settings, it is set as SIM 1 only.
I am not interested in factory reset. Kindly let me know if any other option.

This issue happened after new software update in Z3. Previously i was not facing this issue.

And i just want to understand few things,
1. Is it due to some bug in new software update ?
2. This issue occurred only to me or it happens to all who ever installs new update ?
If it is only to me, then may i know why exactly this is happening.

And also i wanted convey one more information.

If i change the data usage settings(usage limit settings) from NONE to some data amount(1000 MB etc) like that then pop up is not appearing for some time. Data icon appears fine.

But later again mobile data disabled pop up is appearing.

Currently the fortunate thing is mobile data is not getting disabled.
Only this pop is appearing saying "mobile data disabled" and mobile data icon will be not displayed. But actually data is kept enabled.

At the moment no more ideas...  :-[

I hope other users have usefull ideas.

BOL4 is latest public Firmware... but few days old...
Maybe if luck... "sooon" Firmware from 2016...
Maybe this fix your problem without dataloss.

If Z1 users can expect soon Update with 2.4... and new Call features...
Why not also Z3 update near...

This is too old problem. I also faced the same issue on Z1 (BOG1). Origin of the problem is "data usage limit". I had already tried all the idea discussed here. But no luck! Since then, I have never enabled usage limit.
Currently Only two solutions available:
1. Factory reset.
2. Wait...


I can remember Zed had mentioned somewhere that this problem was fixed. But not tried by me neither on Z1 nor Z3.

Sorry, NO guarantie.  :-[

For sure you will loose ALL data... apps, mails, pics, etc...

Maybe wait few days more...
Maybe someone else have nice idea without killing all your files...
Maybe next Firmware coming soon ...

Factory reset is temporary solution. The issue will definitely be resolved but if you again set data usage limit, the issue will again appear. From my experience, after Factory reset, if you keep away from data usage limit there won't be any problem.
