It would be great experience If Z1 or upcoming Tizen phone's user will have options to control brightness level through status bar itself by moving finger from one end to other end.

No need to go to setting to control brightness level.

The brightness level adjustment is one such thing on the device when user required many times to adjust.
User can simply adjust the brightness level by sliding across the status bar, which will be quite a great experience.

what do you think?
will it be catchy feature for the Tizen phone?

Hi Ashish, this is now supported from the notification panel i.e. pull down the notification panel to adjust the brightness via scroll bar.

Hi Zed,

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, You are misunderstood the feature.
I am trying to save one step for controlling the brightness level.

In this, you don't need to pull down the notification panel to adjust the brightness via scroll bar.

You just need to pull finger from left to right or right to left on the "Status Bar" to control the brightness level.

You would be good If I will make one Video and post here for same. It can give better idea to understand what I am trying to say.
:)

Also, the current feature in Z1, which makes the Quick panel disappear and display the homescreen, when the brightness slider is dragged, has confused many users including me on whether it's a bug.
I see this on Samsung Android TouchWiz as well.
Is there a reason why the QuickPanel itself cannot be displayed and homescreen needs to be shown, at the time of changing brightness levels?

@Poornima: It has been done like that, so that user can adjust the correct brightness based on the homescreen/background where some contents are present. Quick/Notification panel is really plain with almost no content which can show the effect of change in brightness, hence user won't be able to figure out the proper brightness. If this feature will not be there then user has to come again and change the brightness.
