Service application should be supported for mobile web apps: is important for HTML5 chat apps, etc

Hi Olivier,
Thanks for the information.
I just want to add on to it saying that the link shared by you is for wearable devices.

For Mobile profile currently web service is not supported.
Tizen supports Hybrid Apps to address such requirements.

Cheers,
Praveen C

Hi Praveen

The link is indeed for wearable devices: I would like to have exactly the same "service application" for mobile web apps.
Would be very useful for web apps like Telegram etc https://github.com/zhukov/webogram

Thanks

Hi Olivier
yep that would indeed be a nice support.
having said that i would still recommend to use hybrid app with (Web ui app + native service app) for such requirement.

if you still think web service has a stronger use case then may be you can raise it under feature category  ;)

Cheers,
Praveen

Hi Oliver ,

I think inclusion of "service application" for web-apps in the Mobile profile is something which can be discussed
further at developer.tizen.org.

I think you have a point about ease of development but that is something which tizen.org can look at and take action.

Regards
